Pushya Nakshatra (पुष्य)

Pushya (पुष्य) is the 8th of the 27 nakshatras, spanning 3°20' – 16°40' Cancer. Its presiding deity is Brihaspati and its ruling planet is Saturn. Nurturing, wise, and spiritually inclined. Pushya is considered the most auspicious of all nakshatras — its natives are natural caretakers, teachers, and spiritual guides. They give abundantly, like a cow's udder that never runs dry, and they inspire trust wherever they go.

Pushya nakshatra is ruled by Saturn (शनि) in the Vimshottari Dasha system — Saturn represents discipline, karma, patience, and hard-won mastery. This colors the major life periods of natives born under this star.
